Raw: Steel cut oats breakfast bowl

Raw breakfast, soaked steel cut oats

  1. The night before… rinse and drain the grains (steel-cut oats, quinoa, and or buckwheat) a couple of times and fill with water until the grains are covered with at least a half inch of water. Soak for two nights if you want softer oats, and/or add a teaspoon of salt to the soaking water.
  2. Drain the soaking liquid before serving.
  3. Top with nut milk, nuts, berries, dried fruit, booster foods such as:
  • cashews
  • almonds
  • brazil nuts
  • pumpkin seeds
  • sesame seeds
  • sunflower seeds
  • fresh fruit
  • dried fruit (dates, goji berries)
  • honey
  • molasses
  • nutritional yeast
  • brewers yeast
  • lecithin
