On Father’s Day, noon to 2pm, I’ll be “cooking outside the box” – the CSA box, that is… at Williams-Sonoma, Stanford (Palo Alto)

CSA’s are getting more and more popular and more and more accessible.

And my goal is to show the ease and wonderfulness of receiving a box of produce right at your doorstep, directly from the farm.

Come see how I create a recipe,

create a menu – on the spot.

This Sunday, I’ll feature “BLUE HOUSE FARM,” a 30-acre organic farm located in a valley within the hills of Pescadero. Their unique location, near the coast and within the hills, offers a year-round growing season for several foods, including strawberries, cilantro, lettuces and more. Read about their CSA program here.

I’ll meet Ryan early Sunday morning (7:30am!) as he makes his way from his Pescadero farm to the San Mateo Farmers’ Market. He’ll have 3 boxes, flowers and eggs for me to share with you at Williams-Sonoma.

Come see what’s in the box this week.

Here is a list of the fruits and vegetables that are harvested this week at the farm….

  • Strawberries
  • Broccoli
  • Chard
  • Cilantro
  • Spring onions
  • Green garlic
  • Salad mix
  • Red lettuce

Also available to the CSA members are….

  • Bouquet of flowers
  • Sourdough bread
  • Coffee
  • Honey
  • Pastured eggs
