Sat and Sun, Jan 28 and 29,  2-5pm

“Success With Greens!”

Stop in anytime during 2 to 5pm to taste the greatness of greens and learn about their healthful benefits. Joni will show us how to cook kale, collard, chard and mustard greens, with a variety of stove-top methods, such as: steaming, blanching and sauteing. Ask her any questions you have about greens: Why do they turn black when over cooked? Is there a way to get rid of, or cover up, their bitter taste? What’s the best way to store them? She’ll have these answers and more.

Sun, Feb 5,  2-5pm

“Raw-awesome food!”

Come on in to see Joni make really easy, really good tasting raw dishes, such as Tomato Bisque Soup, Pad Thai w/Zucchini Noodles and an Almond Joy Smoothie. She’ll use fresh veggies and fruit and a few other goodies from around the world. You’ll also learn the good and –how to mitigate– the not-so-good aspects of a raw food diet.
=================
Sat and Sun, Feb 11 and 12,  both 2-5pm

“Brave Braises and Stews!”

Drop by to learn how to build flavors that will tantalize the 5 taste sensations: sweet, salty, sour, bitter and unami. Joni will grab your attention with bringing in the low notes and high notes, the aged, and refreshing tones in one-dish meals. She will share her 12 steps in making a recipe, as well as the shortcuts to being fluent in the kitchen. You, too, can effortlessly put together a good tasting dish.
