We found wonderful looking, enticing produce at the Los Gatos Farmer’s Market this morning for my cooking demo at Williams-Sonoma (WS).
First, we (me and my group) walked through the entire market without buying a single thing. We said HELLO to the vendors while looking for new, different, intriguing foods. Then, got down to business. Thank goodness for the hours (of fun) I had with the memory game “Concentration” ….I certainly had to employ its valuable training(!). As I walked through the market, my mind started to pair foods together, while thinking of the gadgets, spices and condiments at WS.
I love these improv cooking demos, …the adventure of cooking without a recipe is sooo liberating, so freeing, so creative. … while keeping in mind the flavors, the textures, colors and energetic values of the food. Hmmm, another favorite childhood game comes to mind: “Connect the Dots.”
