How: Opening a coconut without a big knife

Here is a —- very —- easy way to open a Thai Young coconut.

Easiest and fastest way to open a coconut – No Big Knife!, by Matthew Blom

Thumbs up:  fast, easy, no mess, needs little muscle, no special knife needed

Thumbs down:  the opening is small – thus will require a bit of time to harvest (to scoop out) the meat. Or, require another circular cut to increase the size of the opening.

I’ll test to see if cutting lower on the first swipe will work, stay tuned.
