On the first Saturday of every month I have the privilege of cooking on top-end appliances at Atherton Appliance and Kitchens in Redwood City. Cooking demos at Monta Vista Market! No charge. Drop in any time. All improv, no recipes are used. Watch me as “we” create various dishes using different cooking methods. And, I’ll always do at least one raw dish — a salad, a soup, a blended drink. Contact me if you have any request! — cooked or raw.
“Chop, Stuff ‘n Roll” will be the first dish I make this Sunday, June 10th. Come in at 1pm to see how easy it is to make: Egg rolls, stuffed with carrots, cabbage and mushrooms, with a pumped up Annie’s Sesame Ginger dipping sauce.

Marinated grapefruit and a fruit salad came to mind when I saw Monta Vista Market’s produce specials this week. Another dish that came to mind was one that I created while doing a cooking demo at Monta Vista Market this past Sunday: 10-minute Rhubarb Strawberry stove-top Pie.
It’s chewy, it’s guilt free, it’s gluten free, fat free, dairy free, egg free, low carb cake. Can be cookies, muffins, crust, cake. Sooooo simple!
Here is a PALEO version of my Hot’n Sour Squash Soup that I created at INTEL.
